Job Overview

Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Provide individualized support to students, including academic advising and mentoring.
- Assess student progress through various methods, including tests, projects, and presentations.
- Collaborate with special education staff to accommodate diverse learning needs.
- Write clear and concise reports on student performance and behavior.
- Conduct library services to enhance research skills among students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
- Engage in copy editing of student work to improve writing skills according to the Chicago Manual Style.
- Calculate grades and provide constructive feedback to promote student growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of classroom management strategies.
- Experience or coursework in special education is a plus.
- Proficiency in math instruction is highly desirable.
- Excellent writing skills, with familiarity in copy editing and adherence to the Chicago Manual Style.
- Ability to mentor students effectively and provide academic advising as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for lesson planning and assessment.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports diverse learners.
